Birth Plan

A birth plan is essentially, a document expressing your wishes for the birth of your child. Your birth plan is usually prepared given to your birth team at hospital you intend to deliver, in the end of the second or the beginning of your third trimester, just around the same time you receive your delivery package.
A birth plan is usually an uncomplicated which sets us preferences such as lighting in the birth delivery room, baby's first bath, feeding method and care for the newborn. For a baby being born without a surrogate these are quite frankly, pretty uncomplicated matters. However, this is not the case for children who are born as a result of Surrogacy.
Already you can tell that these decisions  However, the issues surrounding delivery as it pertains a Surrogacy birth are more complex so much so that hospitals across Ontario for instance, have started employing policies to deal with specifically with children born to surrogates.
the policies address issues such as who is the patient, recognizing and reinforcing the position of the surrogate as a substitute decision-maker for the baby after birth and so on.

The Surrogate is the patients and so the birthing plan will have to be in line with what Surogate mother is comfortable with
